25 Nov UK´s Deep Tech Industry selects Unmanned Life the Disruptive Innovation of the Year 2017
UK´s Deep Tech Industry Alliance (bringing together all key players in Artificial Intelligence, IoT, Big Data) has gathered at their annual summit in London and awarded the most disruptive technologies and companies in different categories. Unmanned Life (U-Life), a young London-based company, was awarded UK´s Best Disruptive Innovation of 2017
The awards celebrate the year’s key electronics innovations, people and companies from across the UK and Ireland. While these are the inaugural TechWorks Awards, they follow on from the NMI Awards, which ran from 2001 to 2016.
This award is given to the company that can demonstrate a significant business impact through innovation. This can cover any aspects of innovation whether in business process, manufacturing, service provision or product development.
The award was presented by the BBC’s technology correspondent, Rory Cellan-Jones, who highlighted
‘’The judges [had been] particularly impressed Unmanned Life’s understanding of wide market applications and [its] evidence for early growth at pace including Drone and Autonomous Parcel Sorting Deployment.”
U-Life powers the deployment of Autonomous Industry 4.0 solutions with its AI Autonomy-as-a-Service software platform (AtaS). It provides mission based automation that is precise, controlled, reliable and repeatable. U-Life AtaS is backed by multi-patent-pending technology. U-Life´s software can direct, coordinate and manage swarms of different types of robots – unmanned ground and aerial vehicles simultaneously. The software is creating a fully integrated autonomous system, operated remotely over the cloud.
“We are deeply honored and excited by the last three months that we have been living. Recognized by the Postal Industry in September, by two technology company leaders such as Facebook and BT in October and now by the whole UK´s Deep Tech Industry. It does not come as a surprise to us, it´s the result of bold vision, hard work, and focused execution” said Kumardev Chatterjee, Founder, and CEO of Unmanned Life.
U-Life has recently demonstrated its technology with BT in June, Post NL in July and is working with Facebook and BT on projects that the company did not want to disclose yet. U-Life has also opened its US office in San Francisco in August and is currently working with major companies in Europe and the US to deploy disruptive Industry 4.0 solutions.
“We have now the validation and the recognition and for the year 2018, we would like to see our solutions to be deployed across multiple industries. Our ambitious plan includes expansión of the team by recruiting more talents, deployment of multiple solutions in the Telecoms, Postal and Logistics industries and securing our next round of funding to reinforce operations globally” underlined Nicholas Zylberglajt, Co-Founder and COO of Unmanned Life.
