03 Dec Unmanned Life will ring in the new year in Japan working with NTT Data
Unmanned Life is on its way to Japan after being picked by NTT through their global innovation contest, as a contender to work with them to co-create business solutions for their clients in emerging sectors such as autonomous solutions for the specialty insurance industry, in which UK is their largest client base.
Only high potential global startups across industries and a wide range of technologies from Artificial Intelligence (AI) to the Internet of Things (IoT) to Fintech were selected to participate in this contest. Unmanned Life was a natural contender that breezed through to make it to the Grand Finale, which will be in Tokyo, Japan, where it will present its solution to explore the potential of deploying a pilot with NTT. Being recognized by NTT aligns perfectly with Unmanned Life’s strategy to expand in Asia, where its unique autonomous drone capabilities are very much needed.
This is a win /win for both Unmanned Life and NTT since NTT has started to develop and upgrade its advanced drone services. NTT has a huge presence in the specialty insurance industry, but with Unmanned Life’s solutions, it will start piloting various new autonomous solution offerings to add value to their insurance clients. The insurance industry in this sector has grown to $6.8 billion, which is important when working on autonomous surveillance for buildings and structures, something Japan is working on with the development of smart cities. NTT emphasised how Unmanned Life’s technology is compatible with their technologies.
“We are very excited to have won today, and we are very much looking forward to working together with NTT DATA to deploy our autonomy as a service solution to help them to provide new services to their customers and to help provide the customers with more efficient services at the backend, said Kim Clement, CTO of Unmanned Life.”
Unmanned Life is now invited to present its pitch to a panel of judges for the Tokyo grand finales in January 2020 to determine the ultimate grand champion of the global contest.
The overall winner will be funded up to USD 100,000 to co-create a solution with NTT. It will be a triple win for NTT, Unmanned Life and their clients.
