Robotics Engineer Intern

Duration: 6 months 

Job Description: 

Unmanned Life is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of engineers and developers to build cutting-edge robotics and automation technology. You will be involved in the development of software solutions for our robotic systems, working on everything from robot motion planning and control, fleet management systems and hardware integration. 

Responsibilities: 

• Develop software for robotic systems, including motion planning and control, computer vision, and machine learning algorithms. 
• Collaborate with other engineers and developers to design and implement new features for our robotics and automation technology. 
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices for software development and testing. 
• Analyze and optimize the performance of our robotic systems, with a focus on improving reliability, speed, and accuracy. 
• Support the integration of software with hardware systems, including sensors and control systems and multiple robot systems. 
• Participate in PoC, Pilots projects to explore innovative technologies and applications for robotics and automation. 

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 
• Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or other programming languages. 
• Experience with robotics software development, including motion planning and control, computer vision, and machine learning. 
• Familiarity with software development tools and practices such as version control, unit testing, and code review. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with ROS2. 
• Experience working with real robotic systems. 
• Field engineering and commissioning of projects.
• Proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu). 
• Experience with Docker. 
• Experience with DDS and 5G networks.
