We transform how entities deploy robotics and pave the way for a more sustainable and efficient autonomous future.
OUR STORY
Companies are expanding their fleets of robotics worldwide, but each fleet is designed for a specific task. They have different software stacks, interfaces, and operating systems. At Unmanned Life, we are solving the fragmentation of autonomous robotics so that robots can deliver the desired efficiencies.
The technology and business behind Unmanned Life started to be developed in 2016 with an initial investment from angel investors to develop initial Proofs of Concepts. After a reorganisation under a new structure and the entrance of institutional investors in 2021, the Company has seen a boom in partnerships and elevated it to the next level with, awards and customer deployments in Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, the UK, and Austria.

We believe in heartfelt and sincere commitment, with our collective teamwork and enthusiasm reflected through our high-quality products.
INNOVATION
We understand that it’s not only vital to keep up with the latest technology in this ever-changing world, but to exceed it. To do this, we are striving to create cutting-edge autonomous robotics applications for our clients and customers.
Meet the Management
Meet the TEAM
We strongly believe in teamwork, in cooperation rather than competition both outside and inside the company. Our corporate culture is based on taking lessons from every success and failure and bringing an inspiring environment around our diverse team. The same way we believe in autonomous robotics that works as a swarm; We believe in people who can work in team as a unique workforce. Would you like to take part in a dynamic, fast-growing, and high-performing team? We welcome top performers: if you are committed, curious, and tech passionate, send us your CV and tell us about yourself. Then, join us, and let’s build the autonomous future together!

Frequently ASKED QUESTIONS
We don’t develop any robotic hardware, but rather integrate and configure off-the-shelf commercial robots and drones to the platform.
We use a hardware abstraction layer to integrate to a variety of robots and drones. Primarily, we integrate with devices operating ROS 2.0, MAVlink, and DJI OSDK.
We are agnostic to the network, utilizing WiFi, 4G, or 5G where appropriate. Having said that, 5G represents the most value to the system, with high bandwidth and low-latency for video streaming and autonomous command & control.
An automated system is one that can perform a set of specific tasks with well-understood parameters. An autonomous solution on the other hand needs to be able to adapt as the environment changes. Unmanned Life fuses both proprietary and third-party data to enable autonomous decision-making on the platform to truly bring the autonomous nature of the missions to life!
Beyond Visual Line of Sight (or BVLOS) is simply flying out of the pilot’s view. By bringing together 5G, autonomous command and control, and intelligent decision-making, autonomous flights on the platform can be enabled BVLOS, remotely, and as far as the battery will allow!
Not only do we work closely with drone regulators from each country across all of our projects, but we lead the way in EU R&D projects, from GOF 2.0 to 5G!Drones. We have achieved BVLOS permissions across several flights, proving the security and consistency of the platform in real-environments!
At our company, we take privacy and GDPR compliance seriously, and we have multiple approaches to ensuring it is maintained when using our drones. If you’d like to learn more about our company policies click here
Let’s take our surveillance application as an example. A DJI M300 with a thermal payload and companion computer can fly for a staggering 35 minutes. Orchestrated together with several drones, this means site coverage can be guaranteed 24/7, and the hardware is only getting better over time!
Yes! The platform offers two methods of manual operations:
- Teleoperation capabilities. This is remote manual control via the interface. This manual mission will be subject to certain boundary parameters and network conditions.
- Remote Control takeover. This is the on-site takeover of the drone using the remote controller. For this, remote operations are not available.
