Perfect way to finalise GOF 2.0 project at EU Drone Days!
Great event to network and attend insightful discussions about how ready the European drone sector is to make U-space a reality.
Our CEO Nicholas Zylberglajt and Marketing Officer, Kate Zemouri attended EU Drone Days which was hosted in Brussels on November 29-30 to inform interested business, governmental, and public parties about the European Commission’s Drone Strategy 2.0 for introducing UAV activity as an integrated part of daily life and work.
Organised by The Directorate General for Mobility and Transport (DG MOVE) European Commission and SESAR 3 Joint Undertaking, this was a great event to network and attend insightful discussions about how ready the European drone sector is to make U-space a reality. Packed with multiple conferences and panel discussions about innovative air mobility and aerial services, strengthening European civil, security, and defence industry capabilities, the 2 days dove deep into Europe’s drone market and strategy.
The SESAR JU project GOF 2.0 Integrated Urban Airspace, which started 2 years ago with a consortium of 15 members, focused on the safe, secure, and sustainable integration of unmanned aerial vehicle and air taxi operations in urban airspace. This was a very exciting project, breaking the conventional barriers and Unmanned Life is proud to have been a part of this ground-breaking innovation which is making the buzz in the skies.
And European Drone Days was the perfect platform for us to be able to finalise and close off this 2 year-long project. Our team was a part of the GOF 2.0 booth where they talked about the updates and results of this amazing project and their successful first and second wave of trials. With the further enhancement of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and air taxis in the rapidly growing drone market comes the need for the evolution of technologies and framework conditions for their safe coexistence with manned aircraft and this is exactly what GOF 2.0 was about!
