UL invited to Trade Mission UAE by DIT UK

During the week commencing the 10th of October, Unmanned Life was invited by the Department for International Trade (DIT) to attend one of the most important AI and Smart cities trade missions to the UAE.

UAE is the largest market for the UK’s exports in the region and both countries share a strong relationship. UK and UAE have signed a free trade agreement and over the next five years, the UAE-UK trade mission will drive a significant increase in investment across three sectors: technology, infrastructure, and energy transition.

DIT UK  hosted creative industries trade missions to UAE to showcase British expertise in AI and advanced technologies. As one of the few companies to be selected for the trade mission, we enjoyed a beneficial programme of B2B events to promote our skills and knowledge to local, regional, and national decision-makers and investors, as well as show how our product or service can succeed in the Middle East’s experience economy sector.

During the three-day event which started on the 11th of October, several UK-based deep tech delegates were scheduled to meet with a variety of pioneers who are currently driving the development of the tech industry. Our VP of Business and Marketing Jorge Muñoz met with representatives from the Ministry of AI, attended  Digital Dubai at Dubai World Trade Centre Exhibition (DWTC), and visited Sharjah Research, Technology & Innovation Park (SRTIP), and the Moro Hub office.

A focused trip to Abu Dhabi, one of the UAE’s major financial hubs, gave our VP of Business and Marketing, Jorge Muñoz the chance to expand our networks with Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), as well as the opportunity to facilitate face to face meetings with investors and diplomats.

On the 12th of October, Jorge presented the scope and vision of our company at ALDAR HQ in Abu Dhabi. He discussed the UK market for AI and robotics and how firms with innovative technologies, like Unmanned Life, can help the UAE’s economy to flourish. Jorge reiterated the importance of this trade mission to forge long-lasting ties between deep-tech innovators and entrepreneurs from the UK and the UAE.

“It is a great recognition for our company to be thought of as a crucial industry player that the UK wishes to promote while exporting technology. Unmanned Life ‘s participation in the trade mission is a step forward to penetrate the UAE market and far regions of the Gulf with our cutting-edge technology and autonomous applications for an efficient and sustainable tomorrow.  VP of Business and Marketing, Jorge Muñoz
