Undeniable worldwide reference for our autonomous robotics solutions
Kazarin Stanislav remotely launched an autonomous Search & Rescue drone mission from Russia over 5G
Saint Petersburg, Russia 1 April 2021 –St. Petersburg Vice-Governor, Kazarin Stanislav remotely launched an autonomous Search & Rescue drone mission from Russia over 5G, deployed, live, within 2 seconds at Unmanned Life’s R&D Lab in Brussels, Belgium. The event took place at the opening of Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) first 5G Lab in St. Petersburg, Russia’s window to Europe.
The use case demonstrated the power of remote operations for the Smart cities sector, focused on emergency response use cases such as Search & Rescue. Unmanned Life platform capabilities were presented during the demo, including remote deployments, autonomous swarms of drones, data collection, AI-driven object recognition, autonomous dropping, precision landing and others.
“Unmanned Life is a global reference for 5G autonomous robotics solutions. The flexibility of a platform that can deliver 5G-enabled products in different sectors is key for the commercial rollout of new generation networks in the region.” Dave Vasquez, Head 5G Center SPb
Unmanned Life has become a global reference for 5G-enabled use cases. We were invited to speak at Spb 5G Lab opening ceremony about our technology, alongside leading players on the 5G ecosystem as Ericsson, Samsung, and Microsoft. During this hybrid event, also broadcasted online, Marketing Director, Jorge Muñoz, introduced Unmanned Life technology, and spoke about how 5G is enhancing capabilities of drones like video analytics, the robustness of the solutions, connection to other platforms, and artificial intelligence.
“The reliability of the 5G ultra-low latency is essential for the future deployment of autonomous drones. We see the demand for 5G-enabled autonomous robotics solutions continually increasing worldwide, which is triggering many new business streams for Unmanned Life”. Jorge Muñoz, Marketing Director Unmanned Life
After a successful series of demos like Telefonica’s demo in Madrid, Etisalat’s in Dubai, and Wayra Germany’s Munich, this has been the 4th successful demonstration this year for Unmanned Life in partnership with telco companies. Additionally, the MTS demo is expectational to be the first one ever deployed from a remote location, showing capabilities like swarm control or AI object recognition.
