Unmanned Life’s unforgettable presence at MWC Barcelona 22

MWC Barcelona is the world’s most influential and inspiring connectivity event with leading companies worldwide, and we are pleased to be part of MWC once again. This year our presence was bigger and better and too good to be missed. We would like to thank GSMA and WAYRA for allowing us to be a part of their stand and display our advanced technology. It was a successful event for us, with activities planned throughout the 4 days of the event.

DAY – 1

On Monday, 28th February, we started our day by setting up the stand for our live demo and presentations. We demonstrated on a small scale one of our autonomous drone-based surveillance solutions that we had deployed recently in collaboration with Telefonica at their Headquarters. The demos ran every 30 minutes for every day of the event.

The live demos attracted high profile official visits from Ministers like H.E Hyesook Lim, Minister of Science and ICT, Republic of Korea and Roger Torrent Ramió, the Catalan Minister for Business and Labour. In addition, we managed to have multiple meetings with leading companies like Airbus, NTT, COLT and KT to name a few.

Our CEO, Nicholas Zylberglajt, was interviewed by Transformaçao Digital where he talked about how digital transformation creates both the infrastructure as well as the skills needed to take advantage of evolving technologies, which confer a competitive advantage. And just like that, day 1 was gone.

DAY – 2

Tuesday 01st of March arrived with a speaking session by our VP of Business and Marketing, Jorge Munoz, at Wayra’s panel: On the way to scale up. We were invited by Telefonica and Wayra to share the stage with Victor Sancho ️ CCO of ezzingsolar and Daniel Vera Manero Marketing director at MYSPHERA, moderated by Gonzalo Pérez, Head of Business Development of Wayra/Telefonica.

«Partnership leads to leadership» said Jorge as he talked about the power of collaboration between large corporations and start-ups to seize new business operations. He further elaborated on our relations with Telefonica and how they have helped in taking our business to the next level.

Our CEO Nicholas Zylberglajt shared his vision at The Future is Here: Telefonica’s Headquarter Drone with leading experts like Fabián Blanco CEO of Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad and Miguel Borja Cano, Manager of Defense and National Security at Telefonica. At this stage, we also launched our state-of-the-art remote demo, which for the very first time was deployed at Telefonica’s HQ in Madrid, live from Barcelona, in real-time. A remarkable sight, this was indeed an amazing experience for everyone present there.

On Day 2, we had some of the leading names in large corporations like Verizon, Nokia, KPN, Ericsson, and Deutsche Telekom visit our stand to learn more about our cutting-edge technology and experience the live demo first hand.

We had interviews scheduled for our CTO Kim Clement by GSMA Foundry and MobiledgeX, our CEO Nicolas by Department for International Trade (UK), our VP of Business and Marketing, Jorge Munoz by RNE (National Radio of Spain) and Marketing Officer, Kate Zemouri by La Educación Digital to talk about the vision and scope of our company.

Just when we thought the day could not get any better, we were awarded for «Excellence in Tech» by GSMA Foundry in recognition of our cutting-edge technology and the sustainable benefits it offers to society. We are well on our way to create an autonomous future, and thanks to GSMA for recognising those efforts and the value our company provides to achieve that.

Our CEO and CTO welcomed the ministers from Lithuania to highlight the capabilities of our advanced technology and the potential we can achieve on a larger scale which will be bigger and better.

In the afternoon, our team was at 4YFN event as part of Wayra’s stand presenting Unmanned Life. It is the highest official recognition offered exclusively to start-ups during MWC Barcelona 2022, and we are proud to be amongst those start-ups. It was great to see the future of technology and how we are creating an autonomous future together.

Our project with GOF2.0 and Sesar Joint 3 undertaking is also a great example of how advanced air mobility can transform the future and rapidly grow in the coming years. After that session, Jorge got interviewed by GSMA.

MWC ended after 4 days, but for Unmanned Life, the journey to achieving an autonomous future is ongoing. It was great to witness innovation and new ideas brought together by world-renowned specialists and businesses from all corners of the globe. Once again, we demonstrated why our technology is not only relevant but also critical to realising the autonomous future. We believe in long-term value, and autonomous applications can provide a breath of fresh air and sustainable solutions considering current world challenges such as climate change, pollution, safety, and well-being.

Today is just a beginning of a better tomorrow. See you all next year!
