Welcome the autonomous future at MWC with GSMA and UL
Unmanned Life was amongst one of the eminent start-ups to present their technology and innovation at such a platform and is pleased to have been part of the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event
GSMA, once again hosted an impeccable event with over 61,000 physical attendees and expert thought leadership, iconic brands and participants from almost 200 countries and territories. Unmanned Life was amongst one of the eminent start-ups to present their technology and innovation at such a platform and is pleased to have been part of the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event, yet again.
With an over whelming and packed agenda for the event, some participants can often be overlooked. But thanks to GSMA for providing us a space on their stand to demonstrate our live-autonomous drone-based surveillance, not only did we attract over 60 other companies and more than 400 people but visits from high profile ministers as well.
In recognition of our cutting-edge technology and accomplished innovation, GSMA Foundry awarded us with an “Excellence in Tech” award for our outdoor surveillance use-case in association with Telefonica and Telefonica Ingeniería de Seguridad. This is a very prestigious award and to receive it from GSMA during MWC is a great validation of our platform and the products and services we offer. In addition to that our CTO, Kim Clement was also interviewed for GSMA Foundry’s video.
Albeit, on a small scale, this live demo showcased our recent use-case for drone-based autonomous surveillance at Telefonica’s headquarter, giving the viewers a glimpse of our software capabilities and what we can achieve on a larger commercial scale. In support of our recent use-cases/trials with Telefonica, GSMA published a case-study on the benefits of autonomous drones over 5G and edge computing highlighting how 5G can enable autonomous drones to operate safely and efficiently for inventory management. Our platform’s uniqueness and our involvement in projects like GOF 2.0 which focuses on the safe, secure, and sustainable integration of unmanned aerial vehicle and air taxi operations in urban airspace, enabled GSMA to get us a speaking slot for “Aviation Summit” to talk about advanced air mobility. Together with Lorena Senador-Gómez Lázaro – Global Sales Director and Miguel Álvaro Fernández – Drone Specialist from Telefónica Ingeniería de Seguridad, Jorge presented our key product: TUSS – Telefonica Unmanned Security System which is critical in providing autonomous surveillance. Finally, Our VP of Business and Marketing, Jorge Munoz was interviewed by Aviation summit panel.
It was the perfect platform to network with like-minded people and draw inspiration from every corner. The amalgamation of technology and services was at its best with large corporations and start-ups coming together to seize new business opportunities. We would like to thank GSMA for giving us the opportunity to contribute so significantly to this event and for recognizing our advanced technology and its achievements. We cannot wait to be back next year!
